Accommodation

All suites are spacious, extremely comfortable and decorated to a luxurious standard, with superb beds, table and chairs, and each accompanied by an impressive ensuite that is fully tiled in natural earth colors, with glassed showers, heated floors, heated mirrors and heated towel rails, together with complementary soaps, shampoo, conditioners, towels, flowers and more. For your comfort all suites are sound proofed, have double glazing together with individual heating and fans, and are fitted with in room safes.

Bedding Configuration includes top of the range Seally Posturepedic Crown Jewel King Beds in the Kapiti and Tararua Suites - (over sleeping in the morning is common even for those used to early starts), The Derham Suite has a choice of a Californian King (bigger than a Super King) or twin King Singles. The Waikanae Suite and Ensuite has a king and the Te Horo Suite has twin king singles with a large luxury private bathroom.  Other bedding configurations for twin and kings are available for conferences and group weekends away.

The Tararua Suite

 

 

The Tararua suite enjoys the morning sun and superb views North over rolling farmland and East into the Tararua Range

It is a spacious suite fitted out with one of the most luxurous king beds available in New Zealand, a comfortable arm chair, touch lamps, table and chairs, a triple wardrobe together with mirrors, finished with art work and flowers.

The Tararua suite has a large ensuite which is fully tiled and fitted with underfloor heating, heated mirror, heated towel rails, hairdrier, clothing hooks, vanity, glassed shower, separate bath, toilet and stool. For your comfort you have spa robes, large fluffy towels, facecloths, together with bath salts, bathroom soaps, shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

 The Tararua suite has a large Virgilia tree outside the Eastern windows that host several bird species.  When the tree is in bud from July to September the Kereru or native wood pigeon arrive and as the flowers develope in October the Eastern Rosellas take the flowers apart to expose the nectar.

The Kapiti Suite

This suite captures the afternoon sun and picturesque views south and west toward Kapiti Island and over the bush wetlands and hills to the Coast.

 

The beautifully finished suite is comfortable and spacious. It is fitted out with one of the most luxurous king beds available in New Zealand, a comfortable arm chair, touch lamps, table and chairs, a triple wardrobe together with mirrors, finished with art work and flowers.

 

 

The ensuite is fully tiled, it has underfloor heating, heated mirror, heated towel rails, hairdrier, clothing hooks, with vanity, glassed shower, toilet and stool. For your comfort you have spa robes, large fluffy towels, facecloths, together with bathroom soaps, shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

 

The Derham Suite

 

A spacious suite with wheelchair access on the ground that collects the afternoon sun and lovely views to the south and west toward Kapiti and as pictured above - over the bush wetlands and hills to the Coast. It is furnished with a California King - bigger than a super King - or twin King Single Beds, touch lamps, table and chairs, a separate wardrobe, finished with art work and flowers. It additionally has New Zealand''s "free to view" satellite television - Sky TV is available in two other lounges.

 

 

 

The Derham suite has a full care ensuite with handrails and wheelchair access to basin, wet shower and toilet. It is fully tiled and fitted with underfloor heating, heated mirror, heated towel rails, hairdrier, clothing hooks, wet shower, toilet and stool. For your comfort you have spa robes, large fluffy towels, facecloths, together with bathroom soaps, shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

 

The Waikanae Suite

A suite with King Bed and large windows offering views south for the afternoon sun toward Waikanae and Kapiti Island and East into the Tararua Mountain Range. It has a built in wardrobe and table with Chair and is decorated with artwork and flowers. The fantails and grey warblers perch in the olive tree right outside the window and most of Vista del Sol birds are viewable from here due to its corner setting and trees in the garden near by. It has a fully tiled ensuite with heated floor, towel rails and mirror, together with large fluffy towels, spa towels, spa robes and Spa slippers. A twin single configuration is available for conferences.

Te Horo Suite

The Te Horo Suite is is a large suite upstairs with magnificent views over the wetland valley and forested ancient dunes to the Coast.  It receives the afternoon and evening sun and is the only bedroom at the front of the upper floor of Vista del Sol - the library is next door.

It has twin King Single beds, a table with 2 chairs, built in wardrobe, art and flowers. It has a large luxury private bathroom that is fully tiled, with glassed shower, heated floor, heated towel rails and mirror, together with large fluffy towels, spa towels, spa robes and spa slippers, that is 3 steps from the suite.

 

Additional Bedding options include a third single bed at $145 per night, or an alternative configuration as a California King bed, the largest size bed available in New Zealand, at an additional service charge of $25 per night.

 

Island Spa

We provide huge spa towels and soft spa robes for you to enjoy your visit to the Island Spa, soak and relax in the luxurious indoor spa set in its own room with a separate ensuite only 20 meters from the main house.
